Many of us treasure some in-animates than we treasure our precious lives. This error could be easily spotted if we look at the way we handle our edible eggs in contrast to the way some of us handle our lives.
On the other hand, those among us who think they treasure their lives, tend to do it the wrong way, which in the long run, usually reflects that they are far from being able to truly treasure it.
Many believe that eating good meals, visiting pleasant places for sightseeing, etc. is the way to treasure their frail lives. Well, while that may not be bad, it is more than just that to treasure one’s life.
Majorly, he who truly treasures his/her life is someone who is prudent enough to know that life is about making choices and decisions as long as we live. Not just that, but who as well knows that his decision of today has so much to do with his future, and then he is watchful and quite meticulous as he makes them today.
Some make reckless decisions and they seem to be getting away with it at the moment, but it never occurs to them that there is a time called the future when the result of their (our) choices would come. Note: That future could be distant or near, but it MUST come anyhow and surely, the results of our choices and decisions must come with it, too.
Just like an egg, it is wise to handle yours with wisdom. Tarry not till the future comes to know that your life is fragile. Do not let reality finally tell you before realizing that you’re responsible for choosing the future results your frail life will produce. Know it today and treasure it now!
✓Where you often go today
✓Who your friends are today
✓What goals you pursue today
✓How you spend your time today
✓How you make your fortune today
✓How you spend your money today
✓What you see as your priority today
✓How you treat people in your life today, etc. All these will matter a lot tomorrow. So, watch!
A truly treasured life is not measured by the food we eat or wine we drink, but by the choices we make and the decisions we click daily. Picture the future before making them, and you would have made fewer mistakes in your old age than you would have normally made if you weren’t conscious of your future while making them in times past, which is today. Be wise!
Psalms 90:10&12 (Kjv)
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
